As you may know, Google Shopping has undergone some changes, and a recent statement at SXSW this week from Google’s Matt Cutts hinted another change in the coming months.

Over the next few weeks Google will be upgrading all Analytics accounts with new user permissions which will allow you a lot more flexibility than the current two options of user and administrator.
Three Types:
There will be three types of user: "Edit" which is just like Administrator is now, "View" which is similar to the current User role and can only see reports, and "Manage Users" whose only admin power is to manage users and their permissions.

Analytics Tip: Segmenting Out Parts of Your Traffic

If your site has several different types of audience segments: people paying their bills, employees logging into the intranet, etc. you may find yourself wanting to view their behavior separately without having to deal with profile filters. Below is an example of how to do this.

Analytics Update: Tag Assistant by Google

This week, Google announced the launch of their new Chrome plugin that can be used to help ensure your tags are installed correctly.
Once installed you'll see a tag in the toolbar that turns blue when everything looks good and red if it has found an error. You can click on the tag to see what tags and errors it found.
