Medium Giant wins 4 dotCOMM digital awards

Medium Giant is proud to be awarded four dotCOMM Awards.

This international competition spotlights creatives by “honoring excellence in web creativity and digital communication.” The categories focus on core elements that make a good digital experience, such as interactivity, content, design, social media, and video.

The dotCOMM Awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), who have collectively judged more than 200,000 entries since 1994. The AMCP also hosts the MarCom and Hermes awards.

Judging for the dotCOMM Awards is done differently than for other awards. Instead of comparing submissions against each other, each entry is judged solely based on its own merit. There can be multiple winners or even no winner; it’s all determined by the quality of the work.

Quality, creativity, and resourcefulness are what matter in the dotCOMM Awards. The judges rely on their creative expertise to align on score (no persuasive essays needed). Learn more about the judging process

We are proud to be recognized for the following dotCOMM Awards:

Medium Giant (Expanded) Digital Experience Team

Clients: Sauk County, WI; Ulster County, NY; Newnan-Coweta, GA; Public Service Company of Oklahoma

Category: Team Achievement

We call this group the “expanded” digital experience team because website building involves nearly every discipline in the agency. Although Medium Giant’s digital experience team on the org chart only includes our senior director of digital experience (website product owner and UX lead), web development director and coders, senior project manager, and UX designer, they can’t build a website alone. Content strategists and producers, SEO and digital analysts, QA specialists, art directors, account managers — all of them are called upon to get these projects to the finish line.

During the last two years, Medium Giant has amped up its website offerings to ensure our clients’ digital experiences meet the needs of their businesses and their users (front-end visitors and back-end admins). That only comes with an emphasis on website strategy, which is why our clients come to us.

In addition to refining the products we deliver, Senior Director of Digital Experience Rachel Maynard has buttoned up internal processes and workflows. But she would be the first to tell you that website building is a team sport and would credit everyone else mentioned in this entry for helping us succeed.

It goes without saying that all of these clients are extremely pleased with their new sites.

Medium Giant Webinar

Our experts and their ideas are Medium Giant’s superpower. But most people don’t get a chance to meet or learn from us unless they’re clients.

We wanted to change that.

Our webinar initiative is a way to get our people in front of a larger audience — to provide frameworks and knowledge that marketers can use, even if they don’t have a contract with us.

For one of these webinars, we wanted to have a conversation around a common challenge: when to rebuild, redesign, or replatform a company’s website. So our digital experience team led a discussion that helped our attendees answer that question.

It’s exciting to see our own website recognized. The website was a team effort to create and was a true cross-department collaboration.

And a website is never truly done. We continue to refine as we grow as a brand.

Curiosity is a throughline of our website. We weave this theme with storytelling elements to highlight our differentiators and our unique perspective at delivering quality work for clients.
